Cricket final!

March 27th, 2006

Well Saturday was Rob’s cricket final for the season and I promised I’d go along, so I did. And of course they kicked ass! They batted first and got about 237 runs, then bowled the other team out for about 38, so they were about 200 runs short.. haha ;) If you know anything about cricket you know that’s an ass-whipping! So they won their grade (that game was playing for first and second place in the grade).
I’ve got lots of photos.. firstly of the day.. then the party that night.. but more on that later.

There are more photo’s you can view at my flickr page.

So after the game we went back to the boys flat and had a BBQ and drank alcohol and played ‘Battle of the sexes’. Very fun night. The game got everyone drunk - if you got the answer wrong you had to take a shot. lol.
Photo’s of the drunk people:

So yes, lots more photos you can view.. I’ll be here all day if load them all.
People slowely started leaving around 2am and falling asleep all over the place.. haha. So the few of us that were left started playing Buzz on the playstation.. lol. Well Rob dropped me home about 3am, that was late enough for me! Woke up Sunday morning with a headache, but neurofen fixed that quite quick! Was a great night though!

Went shopping with Jo on Sunday, looking for wedding presents for Zarrin and stuff for our bachelorette night.
Had dinner at Victoria’s on Sunday night.. and then had an early night.. lol.
So it’s kinda been a chocker weekend.. and really all weekend I should have been doing my assignment!!! Tut tut me.

Oh, check this gorgeous video out.. it’s of little quadruplet babies laughing.

I’m off to shower and get ready for Uni now!

Ever wonder why….

March 24th, 2006

Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?
Why women can’t put on mascara with their mouth closed?
Why don’t you ever see the headline “Psychic Wins Lottery”?
Why is “abbreviated” such a long word?
Why is it that doctors call what they do “practice”?
Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons?
Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?
Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?
Why isn’t there mouse-flavoured cat food?
Why didn’t Noah swat those two mosquitoes?
Why do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?
You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don’t they make the whole plane out of that stuff?!
Why don’t sheep shrink when it rains?
Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?
If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?
If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?

ANOTHER new layout…

March 23rd, 2006

Yes.. I’m getting the creative bug at the moment. I’ve kept the same layout - but I like this header image better.

I had the day off today as there wasn’t enough work to do at work. The downside is I will be poor when pay day comes around. The benefit is a complete free day! :D So I ended up starting my Organisation Management assignment, vacuumed and dusted my room and washed my sheets! Oh, and made this new layout. So I’m pretty happy with my achievements for the day.

We are now organising Zarrin’s bachelorette night! We’ve decided on a hotel room, ordering in takeaways (or something tasty), doing facials and manicures on each other…etc. A nice girly night for her last un-wed Saturday night!! hehe.

Here is a map for Sean, who doesn’t know where New Zealand is! :blah: It’s the circled one on the bottom right ;) .

world

Well I’m off to cook dinner now! My turn.. schnitzel and salad! :yum:

March 22nd, 2006

I’m drained…

March 19th, 2006

..both emotionally and physically. It’s a mixture of two late nights, guy troubles and assignments. It’s been a pretty busy weekend and I think it’s finally caught up to me and I’m buggered.

Friday night I headed off to Takapuna with my sister and one of her friends.. we had a few vodka and lemonades at home… then hit the clubs! I have to say I prefer the Takapuna night life to the Auckland Central clubs (unless you’re a NZer you won’t know what I’m talking about).
It’s great, because you usually bump into people you went to high school with her aren’t really close friends, but it’s great to catch up!
Oh, Nicki, I bumped into Adrienne… she says “Bonjour” :). I got her mobile number, so hopefully when you visit you may be able to fit a couple of hours in to see her!
We got home about 1am and I went to sleep, the other two headed off to Denny’s for a minight snack! lol

Saturday morning I went for my haircut, no colour this time, just a tidy up of my layering etc.. Then in the afternoon I went for my manicure (got a lush bright red ;) ) and my facial! Every girl out there who has not had a facial done to her by a professional yet HAS TO! It is the MOST relaxing, lovely feeling ever! Your skin comes out all gorgeous and glossy too! I definitely recommend you do it if the chance comes up.
Saturday night was Jo’s (and her cousin Winston’s) 21st dinner at Grand Harbour chinese restaurant. Very yummmy food! :yum: As usual.. we all ate too much and felt sick afterwards.. but loved it! Here’s some photo’s of the night:

Jo & Winston (cousins and both 21 this month!) Sarina, me, Jo (birthday girl), Victoria & Teresa Livia, Zarrin & Jo Kim (Zarrin's fiance), Zarrin, Laura-Jane & Calvin Winston & me Me, Alice, James & Olivia

After the dinner we went back to Jo’s and played Monopoly… lol.. until about 2am! It was fun until everyone started getting tired and not caring. haha.

Today I went shopping with Rob for shoes, which he didn’t end up buying and we went for a walk on the beach. Then I came home this afternoon and did some more of my assignment.. ahhh so boring!

So it’s an early night for me definitely tonight. Might just read my Marion Keyes ;) (really loving this book - can’t put it down!) and sleep!

New layout!!!

March 17th, 2006

Happy 21st Birthday Jo!

My friend Jo’s birthday today ;) . We’ve got dinner tomorrow night, I’ll make sure I take my camera for some photos!

I’ve done it! Finally. New layouts up. Hope you all enjoy. The others are still there if you’d prefer to use them! I decided to make it a single column layout - as the main thing to my site these days is my blog. So may as well make it the main part!

Well I had a slow today, had Uni from 11-12pm. This afternoon I didn’t have work as there isn’t enough work to do.. and yesterday I was sitting there doing nothing. And now because I’m part time.. they don’t want to pay for me to sit there. Fair enough I guess.

Oh, Happy St Patricks Day everyone!!!

Onto my Marion Keyes book…

March 16th, 2006

Finished The Lovely Bones there is now a review up which you can read here. So now I’m onto my new Marion Keyes book!

I really need a new layout on here… I’m just feeling really un-creative.. and everytime I start one, I get half way and don’t like it anymore!
Maybe I’ll have another attempt tonight.

Useless…

March 16th, 2006

I’m useless.. I’ve hurt him again by ending it again. The timing just isn’t right, maybe in awhile.. but right now I’m not ready.
That’s all.
