Ok.. yesterday morning we were sitting in our lecture for Organisations and Management, all slightly stressing and trying to contain all the information we had studied the night before for our in-class test. When all of a sudden some very heavy breathing starts coming over the speakers. We’re all thinking ‘what the fuck?’. As we were expecting a serious test. lol.
Then Darth Vader walks in! I’m not a Star Wars fan, but everyone knows who Darth Vader is. Ahh god.. the whole lecture theatre (100+ people) were in fits of laughter! Of course it was a shock. We were expecting to be told to sit down, shut up and do the test.
But yes, he lightened the mood which was great and I think it relaxed some people about the test.

Only this week and next (I think) left of University, then it’s study break time and exams! My last exam is on June 17th so after that I have four weeks holiday. But of course I’ll be working fulltime to make some money!

Yes.. you may be wondering that exact question! Well maybe not, because I’m sure you all have your own busy lives!! The last time I talked about it was April 19th.
Here’s a photo:

My scarf!

This is not the scarf I ‘attempted’ to knit. I bought one. I tried to knit it honest!!! But somehow, I started with 30 stitches in width and by the time I was onto my second ball of wall I had 74 stitches. Now how the hell did that happen?! I more than doubled it’s width!! No wonder it was taking me forever. So yes.. I gave up when I had to unravel it AGAIN to start AGAIN. I decided I couldn’t be bothered. lol. Plus.. at that rate I would have it finished by summer!!

So I went shopping one day and noticed this one :D It’s gorgeous.. and so much nicer than my one was going to be. It was only $27NZD. The wool for my one I was going to make was $12, so yeah, I’ve learnt my lesson. Just buy one.

I’ve been tagged by the gorgeous Amber, to talk about what is contained in my make-up bag.

Rules of the meme:
- The infected are to dump out the contents of their makeup bag, take a photo of the contents and then post the photo on their blog, and if possible add it to the What’s in Your Make-Up Bag Flickr pool.
- The infected must pass the meme onto five other female bloggers (or metrosexual men and drag queens).

What's in my make-up bag?

From the left:
- L’Occitane en Provence Hand Cream. It’s not really make-up but I use it daily!
- L’Oreal Ideal Balance Foundation in soft beige. I only really wear foundation on special occasions or if I go out to dinner or something.
- Blistex Lip Conditioner. I wear this daily! I love the glossy look it gives, plus it protects my lips from sun and winter winds.
- Perfect Blend Pencil in black-brown.
- L’Oreal Panoramic Curl - Waterproof in black (blue tube). Only used for rainy days. Waterproof mascara has tar in it!! Don’t use it daily ladies!
- L’Oreal Mascara in black. Best mascara ever. (silver tube).
- Santee Nail Polish in Modern Wine. Currently using on my toes - it’s winter! I can use dark colours.
- Lastly; Australis blush in peach.

I’m tagging Josephine, Krissy, Heather, Elyse and Marie.

…..if you’re fit!

Rob and I went to the local pools tonight for a swim, for fun and for some exercise. I started off well. Could beat him holding my breath and had a bit of a float and paddle around.
Then we decided to get serious and do some laps. We picked the slow lane and started off. The pool is 50 metres long, so once to the other end was no problem, I will admit I was a tad puffed. Then kicked off the wall and headed back. OMG when I got back I was BUGGERED, Rob was too ;). So we thought we’d have a break and jump in the spa. lol.

About 15 minutes later we decided we’d have another crack at it. I have to admit the third and fourth lap seemed to be easier, of course I could have been going slower. lol.
We did another two, YES a total of six laps, then retired back to the spa.

I’m going to go again on Thursday evening and hopefully up my laps to a total of eight! :) It costs $5.00 each time, so I’m hoping there’s a 10 pass consession card I can buy which will make it cheaper so I can go back regularly as a new exercise regime!

Living arrangements

May 23rd, 2006

Well I’ve been thinking lately about living arrangements and I’m torn. I’m currently living with my mum and two sisters in my mum’s house. I pay my mum $100 for board which covers my food, power, telephone line.. everything!

My other option, which would be fun, is to go flatting with Rob (and maybe his sister) when he gets back from America. I’d love that! We’d have so much fun and be able to cope on a daily basis easily. I know Rob’s sister, Anna, is lovely and she cooks and cleans so we could share it around (I haven’t talked to her about it, she might not want to flat with me!! lol) and it should go pretty easy.
But, I don’t think I’d be able to afford it all! Plus I would feel some sort of guilt for leaving my mum’s home. I don’t know if she’d be upset or whatever. But recently my sister was talking of going flatting and my mum didn’t seem too happy. But it’s my life, so if I really wanted to move out I would.
Fun bits would be living with Rob and having friends over. For example; some friends, Rob and I are going out to dinner on Friday night and I’d love to invite them over for a drink and chat beforehand. But there’s no room here.

However, the accounting side of me doesn’t want to pay some ‘random’ my money for rent. I’d rather pay my mum (who intern pays off her mortgage). Because the house will one day be left to my sisters and I, and the less debt on it the better. Or I’d rather buy a house and live in it with flatmates and they pay rent to cover the mortgage. So all I have to pay is part of the power, insurance, rates and my share of the food. BUT if I do that plan… it’s not going to happen for about three years. As I’m studying so can’t save up for a deposit for a house. So you see the pickle I’m in?

But anyway if it happened it would be next year, 2007, as Rob isn’t back until November so no point going flatting now. But also Rob will be studying next year! He offered to pay for things for me if we were flatting, but I can’t do that to him, especially if he’s studying! So I’ll just go with the flow I guess, see what happens between now and January 2007.

TGIF

May 19th, 2006

Yay. It’s Friday. Rob’s coming over for a quiet night tonight, as I have a Microeconomics test tomorrow morning at 8.30am. SATURDAY!!! Grrr… It’s so mean that they put tests on weekends. Plus, mum may be out and Maddie has a male friend over tonight, so I have to keep an eye on them. lol.

Good news is that I’m feeling heaps better. I think the cold has basically gone. Still have a bit of a dry throat though, so I’ll just keep warm and I should be good!

Haha.. I know this is random, but I got it in an email and LOVE IT!

May 17th, 2006

I have a cold :( it sux. I blame Rob because he had it before and now I have it!! Grrr.. My nose is blocked, my lips are dry, my head feels ‘full’ and my throat is itchy. Feel bad for me!!!

Rob took me out for a Thai dinner last night, it was so yummy! He had Thai Green curry and I had a Panang curry. :yum: I thought it was sweet, as Rob is not a fan of “new” or spicy foods, but he enjoyed his curry, so I’m pleased!

I was just checking out my timetable for Semester two on the Massey University website and it looks like it’s going to suck! Grrr… for example; there’s only one lecture available for my Information Systems paper, on a Monday at 3:00-5:00pm. And I have nothing else on that day!! So I have to go in for two hours in the afternoon .
I also don’t have a day completely off! I think I’m going to end up with a few less hours of work as well! Mind you… I am taking one more paper next semester. But I wish the lectures and tutorials were all closer together.

Well Rob’s off in a few weeks (June 17th), the same day as my Business Statistics exam. I hope I get to see him off at the airport!! He’s leaving at about 7.45pm but of course has to be there a couple of hours before and my exam is in the afternoon, but I don’t know how late it will start. Hopefully it’s 2-5pm or something. That’d be ok.
I also realised, he doesn’t get back until November 2nd, I’ll be basically finished my second semester!!! Probably in the middle of exams. That’s AGES. That’s four and a half months…… or 19 weeks!

I know I haven’t returned comments, I feel real bad, I will! It’s just been quite busy lately.

Gorgesest boyfriend ever.

May 13th, 2006

Aaaaww I have the sweetest, gorgesest boyfriend in the world :).
I was getting into my car (from work) last night when I noticed these on the backseat:

Roses from Rob

Aren’t they beautiful? I also got a cute little card saying:

Hey Bronnie
These are just to say thank you for another chance.
You wont regret this one.
xoxo Rob :)

Heheh.. so sweet! Thank you Rob

Last night I headed into Takapuna with Michelle and a few of her friends and we danced LOTS! Rob was there too with a friend of his, Chris, so we all had a good dance together and burned some fat and energy. lol. It was real fun, we will have to do it again sometime!
I got home at 1.30am so it was a good night and I didn’t wake up until 10.30am this morning - which is amazing for me… as I normally can never sleep in!

I must start my Business Statistics assignment now… can’t put it off any longer!
