Guess who’s a student rep?

That’s right… me! :dork: Some people came round our lectures today and talked about it, asking if anyone would like to volunteer. At first I was a bit iffy about it; but then they mentioned that you would get a certificate at the end and it will look good on your CV. So I thought I might as well get some more information on it.
As a student representative I will receive emails from other students in my Introductory to Financial Accounting paper (I decided to be a student rep for just one paper) with any issues, ideas or troubles they may have regarding the paper, lectureres, students or anything related to that paper.
I will also have to attend meetings for one hour a month with all the other student reps. We were told they would provide us with meals as well!! The meetings are held at the on campus bar, Evolution Bar.
A couple of other guys from my degree are also doing it, so I will know people! :) I also see this as a way of getting involved in my University. I don’t want to be one of those people who goes through their Uni life just turning up at lectures and not getting involved at all.
So this will be great! I will get a lovely certificate saying I volunteered and got involved and will also have the fun of being involved!
First meeting is Wednesday 2nd August.
