The big night.

October 30th, 2006

Jess’s bachelorette party was heaps of fun! I was not expecting many people to be there, maybe 10-15, but no! There was about 30!! Very popular woman ;).
We started off at Gina’s, an Italian restaurant, for dinner. It was lovely food and the waiters and cooks were hilarious! All true Italians, they were singing along to the Italian music and speaking in Italian in the kitchen. They were such a relaxed group and made the night heaps of fun.
After dinner we went out for some dancing and more drinks in a few clubs. A couple of her friends also put her on the bullet sling-shot machine in town.. lol. Such a laugh!

Loving feeling free.

October 26th, 2006

Ahhh I can’t explain how much calmer I feel today - I haven’t felt like this in a couple of months. There are nomore lies or secrets to keep up with - it’s all out there!
My Dad emailed my Mum yesterday about his pending wedding, and she took it so well! She told me that when she first read it she had tears in her eyes, but after that she realised it makes no difference, they already live together! I’m so happy she didn’t have a major breakdown over it. So I was right and it was just me that was having a major stress over it, typical!
I was feeling stressed, but right now I’m feeling great! No-one tell me any secrets, I don’t wanna know.

Now I can look forward to this weekend - it’s an eventful one!
Friday night I’m off to Jess’s bachelorette party (I’ve bought her some jelly willys and a grow your own willy), I will make sure I take my camera! I’m bound to get an exciting one of myself for my 365 days challenge.
Then on Saturday is Rob’s first cricket game for the season! It had better stay sunny, I need a serious tan!
Saturday night is quiz night! Rob’s sister, Anna, has organised a quiz night to raise money for Child Cancer. She’s such a wonderful woman, I commend her for organising things like this! So we’re all going along to answer questions and have some cheap drinks. :)
I guess I’ll be studying on Sunday  . Exams in two weeks.

Mum’s night out.

October 22nd, 2006

Last night I went with my Mum and sisters to see The Devil Wears Prada. I really enojyed it, I also loved the book - so I guess that helps.
But who enjoyed it more then me? My Mum! She was so enthralled by it, that at one stage when they were playing the song Suddenly I See by KT Tunstall she started singing along! And she wasn’t trying to hide the fact she was singing.
But the funniest bit was when a very serious and sad moment happened in the movie (I wont spoil it), my Mum suddenly said loudly; “what happened?!” with a gasp-type shockness in her voice. Of course the moment was a serious one in the movie, so it was silent… except for my Mum.
When the movie had finished I turned to her and laughed and asked why she’d talked out loud during the movie, but she had no idea she had. She was so into the movie.
I think she’s far too used to watching DVDs at home where she can talk.

Off to the stag-do.

October 21st, 2006

I just dropped Rob and his friend, Chris, off to their friend, Brandon’s, stag-do. This is the friend who’s getting married in Fiji next month that I can’t go to. The theme for the party is suits. So the guys have all gone out and bought second hand suits to wear out clubbing and drinking. I have a feeling they’ll get a lot of attention, as there’s about 12 of them going!
I’ve only got a few photo’s of Rob in his suit. He said another guy was taking his camera so he’d email us some of them.
They’re all staying in a hotel so no driving or taxis are needed, which is a great idea. I also know there has been a stripper ordered. 8O

I got an invite the other day to Jess’s hen’s night! Yay! She’s the bride-to-be for the guy above who’s having his party tonight. Jess’s is next Friday. I can’t wait - it’ll be heaps of fun. We’re starting at an Italian restaurant in town for dinner. I don’t know what’s happening the rest of the night, they just said to meet there! So I will have to update with what happened and some photos.

Now all I need to do is go out and buy Jess a chocolate penis. Jess loves chocolate.

Rob’s car is cursed.

October 15th, 2006

This evening in an extreme freak accident Rob’s back windshield was smashed. Our neighbour was mowing her lawn and a rock hit the lawn mower and flew over the fence, which is 6-7ft tall and hit his back window. What are the chances?!
Our neighbours said they’d pay for it all, but we rang Rob’s insurance company who confirmed he could get it replaced for free and it wouldn’t affect his no-claims bonus! Yay! It’s great because our neighbours are lovely people and not too well off, so I don’t know if they could afford it. So it’s worked out ok for everyone. Rob’s just going to borrow my car tomorrow and he’s going to need to put petrol in ;) hehe.

I said his car was cursed because he’s had a few random things like that happen. Like the time someone hit his car while it was parked on the road and then took off. There were a couple of other things too.. can’t remember them though.

Packing………sucks!

October 14th, 2006

Sure moving house is a whole bunch of fun! But the packing, cleaning and tidying process is shit! I have spent the whole of this beautifully sunny Saturday packing boxes with junk we never use, dusting tops of things where the junk used to be and tidying all the other things left. My room is looking quite bare, but that’s what mum wants. She says when the people come looking at our house tomorrow during the open home, they need to be able to think to themselves… “hmm I could put {mystery object} there.”
Rob mowed the lawn and trimmed the edges around the lawn before he headed off to cricket. I’m so thankful he did or I would have had to do it!
My younger sisters both work on Saturdays so have done nothing. But they’re going to get the shock of their lives when mum gives them a list of jobs to do, I’ll be happy I helped now and got it out the way.
I really hope we sell this house quick, as it’s going to be hard work to live out of boxes and keep the place clean and tidy for more than a week or two.
Tomorrow will be vacuuming and floor washing day, all the last cleaning bits before the buyers *fingers crossed* arrive.
Bring on Monday!

Woohoo!

October 13th, 2006

We finally won our first indoor netball game!! :satisfied: We won 25-9. And I’m happy to say I got a decent amount of goals this time, I’m finally getting the hang of the game! haha. Hopefully we can keep up the winning.
