Christmas 2006

December 26th, 2006

Christmas this year was a success and I was truely spoiled. We had our Christmas dinner with mum on Christmas Eve as usual. Then in the morning, Christmas Day, we opened prezzies and cooked leftover ham and eggs on the bbq for breakfast. So yum! :yum:
Rob sent me on a wild goose chase around the house looking for a present from him. Haha. It was quite fun.
Then at about 11am we headed off for a Christmas lunch at Dad’s. So by the afternoon we were all way too full. So we relaxed and watched Cars, which I got from Rob.

I scored heaps of lovely prezzies this year, including; two perfumes, Paris Hilton - Just Me and Versace - Bright Crystal. A beautiful duvet for my bed. Vouchers for Westfield mall and Bendon lingere. A voucher for a one hour massage. An Anne Geddes 2007 diary and a few other things.

It’s now Boxing Day and I am lucky enough to have the day off and not be in retail hell. But back to work tomorrow unfortunatley.

Check out my Christmas set.

Also pluging snapt.co.nz it’s a New Zealand website featuring photo’s of people being snapped by other New Zealanders being naughty. Ie. parking in a disabled park when you’re not disabled! Check it out!

Naked photo’s at work!!

December 20th, 2006

Yes… well they’re not of me or anyone I work with, thank goodness. That could be weird.
You see we had a new client coming in for a meeting today. His name is Brent Webb. Of course anyone who is not a New Zealander or an Australian will probably have no idea who he is. He played for the NZ Warriors, a rugby league team, as well as the Kiwi’s, our country’s league team.
Well anywho, Rob’s sister is a major league fan and has a calendar of naked league players for 2007. So she gaveit to me to get his autograph! LOL. Originally my boss (my dad) was going to ask him to sign it for me, but that was before he knew that Brent was naked in the photo.
So when he arrived I went out to make sure it was him, to find his girlfriend was with him too! This made it a bit more embarrassing.
Nevertheless I grabbed the calendar and got him to sign it. They both laughed as they hadn’t even seen the calendar yet!
The finished product:

Spunky Brent Webb

Surprises

December 13th, 2006

This Christmas I have lots of surprise presents for Rob. Every other Christmas, birthday or anniversary he has either picked his present or has managed to get the surprise out of me. But this year I have held on strong and he only knows one present out of four. He only knew of that one because I didn’t know which one to pick out of two ideas I had. I went up to the cashier with the one I thought he’d like best. But then thought I should text him to double check, as it’s not a returnable gift. He text back with the one I had already picked!! Grrr… so it could have been a surprise, I’m pleased I know him well.
He doesn’t seem too fussed now. He hasn’t tried to get it out of me recently, so maybe he’s just going to hang on until Christmas. Or maybe he’s already had a fiddle under the tree!

Today I rang Rob while he was at work about a totally unrelated topic. After we discussed that he told me he was buying a present for me today!! He just thought of it this morning. Now I’m sitting here at work with no work to do, playing solitaire, trying to work out what he’s getting me!

I hate surprises. Just a little bit. ;)

It’s been quite a busy week, also quite an eventful one, some good and some bad.

A few days ago I woke up to find my, Rob’s and Allie’s cars had been broken into!! They were parked out the front of our house on the road. At first I couldn’t work out was wrong, I just thought Rob had been out to his car earlier in the morning and had left it unlocked by mistake. But no. Some little shits had broken into it and stolen all his CDs. They had done the same to my car. My sister’s car was the worse off, they’d take all her CDs aswell as ripped the whole stereo unit out and taken the stereo. What’s worse is that they’d pulled all her air conditioning out too and cut the wires to her headlights and indicator lights.
Rob went to the police station and made a statement, but basically they didn’t care and couldn’t do anything. The little shits had used gloves as well, so we know they had organised it, it wasn’t random. It also means we couldn’t finger print them to connect them to other break ins. We have decided not to claim insurance on anything, it’s not worth losing the no claims bonus. But now I only have three CDs.

In better news, I have a second job! At Harvey Norman. I’m going to be a cashier. I’m absolutely thrilled because they want me to work fulltime over the Christmas month while my current work place is closed. Because the accounting firm I work for is a corporate place they close for a month over Christmas. So I was starting to freak out that I’d have no money for a month!! Well six weeks if you count that I’d have to work two weeks before I’d get my next pay. That would not be good at all.
So I start tonight, 5.30-9pm, my other day will be Sunday 9am-5.30pm. I still have my accounting job three days a week up until Christmas. So for the next few weeks I’ll be working five days a week at two different jobs which is not bad at all. Then when the accounting firm closes for Christmas I’ll do more hours at Harvey Norman.
Something that pisses me off? I’m working two jobs to give me money to work and the little bastards who broke into my car are most likely on the benefit collecting my money I work for through my taxes. It’s crap!

Another great news topic is that Rob is off to his interview at Uni this morning. After this interview he’ll know if he’s allowed to do the teaching course, Bachelor of Education. He was quite nervous when he left. I’m waiting for his text to tell me how it went!!

The plans for today; bake some banana choc chip muffins with some bananas that are starting to turn brown (best time to cook them): I’ll take a photo when they’re done!. Do some Christmas shopping with my sisters, wash my sheets and get ready for my new job tonight!!

Last night I went to my Christmas work ‘do at Finalé Restaurant and Cabaret. Of course Rob was invited too and we both had an awesome time. Of course the big difference between most Cabaret’s and Finalé is that they are in drag.
Of course everyone is a bit skeptical when first arriving, but you soon see they’re lovely people who just want to perform and have a good night. I went up to one of them in the first 20 minutes and asked for a photo with her and she was more than happy.
This place is so entertaining and is sold out months in advance, we had to book back in September and could only get a table for a Thursday night - that’s how popular it is!
Your night includes a meal, dessert and two cabaret shows. The costumes and performers were awesome! I’m pretty sure everyone enjoyed themselves. I know I did.
After the show finished (about 11pm) everyone got up and had a dance. It was definitely one the our best Christmas ‘do’s.

Drag cabaret - don’t judge it ’til you’ve seen it. I promise you’ll love it. :)

I got heaps of photo’s; check out my set.

Rob was even a good sport and had a photo with the ladies:
