I found this on Tara’s website. I love it, it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. We need more people in the world like this!
Blonde right to the roots
January 30th, 2007
I work with my sister at a retail chain. A car was broken into at work yesterday (a customers car).
Everyone was feeling uneasy that people were breaking into cars in our carpark, so we all went out to check our cars, I couldn’t because I was busy at the time.
A lady we work with came up to me about 10 minutes later and said “I feel sorry for your sister!! Her car was stolen!”
“What?” I said.
“Your sister’s car was stolen” she repeated.
“You mean my car was stolen?” I said, now totally confused.
“No, hers. She’s on the phone to the police now making a report” she replied.
“WHAT? Go ask her, how it’s possible her car was stolen, when she car pooled this morning with me and her car is still at home?!”
She had forgotten.
HAHAH.. needless to say all the staff laughed at her and she’ll be called a blonde for a few weeks until something new happens.
Well done Aouge ![]()
The photo’s the public never thought they’d see…

…four 22-27 year old straight men posing in make-up.
I should explain…….
Last Saturday at Nat’s birthday party after quite a few beers, shots and orange & vodka’s the boys got a bit relaxed and let us do them up.
It all started with innocent nail polish… but lead to full make-up and a sexy, girly top.
I think photo’s are the best way to show you how they looked after 2am.

It was an awesome night, great bunch of people, all with a great sense of humour!
And of course we need a photo of the beautiful girlfriends, the sober ones. Of course we did finish a bottle of wine, an orange & vodka and some tequila shots!

The next ‘do… the cricket final afterparty, see what we can make the boys do then!!
Stage fright

Today Rob was due for his drug test for his Turf Management apprenticeship. He applied for the job a few weeks ago, has been for a couple of interviews and now lastly needed to complete and pass a drug test. He hasn’t been told whether he has the job or not, but the drug test was a requirement because he’ll be opertating machinery. Of course he has no problems with drugs, he was more nervous about the peeing in the cup part.
I get a text at 9.30 this morning saying:
“I don’t need to piss so I have to wait here.”
I reply with the obvious “haha.. drink some water!”
I get a reply saying, ” I am. And f*ck me she has to see me do it!”
LOL. We never even thought about the fact that’d she’d be standing in the room watching. But of course it makes sense. We just didn’t think that far ahead.
I get another text, “I don’t think I can do it. Stage fright.”
I ring him at home an hour later and he’s fine. It’s all over with. The job better be worth it!
Much needed break
January 17th, 2007
I know I’m slack and I haven’t posted about mine and Rob’s trip to Whangamata, I’ve basically been straight back at work and haven’t had a chance.
We had a great time! We were a bit pissed off that it was overcast and dull most of the days, but we still managed to get a bit of a tan in the overcast weather, as you do. We only swam at the beach a couple of times, because as mentioned it wasn’t so hot. But the swims were lovely and refreshing, very good for the body and skin. One day the surf was a bit rough and I found myself clinging onto my bikini so as not to embarrass myself by losing it.
When we weren’t swimming we were reading, shopping, walking, exlporing and Rob even got in a 9-hole round of golf (I walked the course while he played).
We came home Saturday morning as Rob had his first cricket game since Christmas at midday. The trip home was definitely faster than the one there. After 45 minutes of driving Rob announced to me that we were in the Amazing Race and we needed to catch ‘team Alpha Romero’ before we hit Auckland. lol. It had me in giggles for ages. I was the navigator and Rob the driver. Unfortunatly we took a wrong turn, which may have possibly been my fault and the other teams over took us.
Luckily… Rob informed me it was a non-ellimination leg of the race.
On Sunday I was back at work at 9am. It wasn’t too bad. I also had work on Monday filling in for someone.
I’ve been relaxing the last couple of days. Today I went to my friend Victoria’s and we rented Confetti and generally caught up and relaxed.
Rob and I also went to the library as he wanted a book and I’ve nearly finished Angela’s Ashes. We also went to the mall so I could buy some CDs with some of my Christmas Vouchers. I got Pink’s latest (I’m not dead) as well as Anna Nalick’s album. I’m listening to Pink on the computer right now.
Nobody knows…..
Protected: Well that’s a first..

Road trip…
January 10th, 2007
Rob and I are off to Whangamata in about an hour! Woohoo - holiday time for us.
Not that Rob needs one, he’s been to America and Fiji in the last 12 months, but I need one. It’s not a big holiday - but it’s a change of scenery and a relax. To be honest I enjoy the drive the most.
Be back Saturday! I’ll post photo’s then.
Remember to check out snapt.co.nz it’s really taking off now!
Playing tourists

Today Rob and I decided we’d go to the museum, because it’s cheap and we were sure they’d updated it with a new feature.
We knew it was a $5 “donation” which is bacially compulsory if you’re an adult, so I got out $20 cash to pay. We were lucky though as the guy who served us didn’t have any change so he put us through for free! Score!
Once in Rob demonstrated to me the ‘museum walk’ we must do. Which involves holding the map/pamphlet behind your back and looking at everything intensly.
I took photos of Rob infront of the Emu, among other things and he took photos of me infront of the Maori court houses, and we wondered if people thought we were foreigners, not just weirdos who have lived in this city our entire 22 years.
It was a good time and took us just over an hour to look through everywhere. My favourites are always the animals and sea life.
We didn’t notice any “new feature” though. There was a bit that had clay pots and other crafts I had never seen before, but I didn’t think they were amazing.
After the museum we walked through the domain to subway for lunch. Yum. I haven’t had it in awhile so it was good.
On the way back to the car, I got this cute capture of us, the best photo of us in a long time.

Now I’m going to bake some more of my special pear shortcake, as we haven’t had it in awhile!
Ewww.. back to work tomorrow.
