As a recommendation, I would say "Essays in Love" by Alain de Botton, It's about relationships and analyses one between this couple from the moment theyy meet right up to the end. Also, I'd recommend The Nanny Diaries as a fun read. Descriptions will make it seem chick-lit-y, but I'm not much of a fan of girly books but I loved it anyway.
