No biggie.

Well I didn’t make it in to the internship with PwC. I’m too fussed, I was actually a bit nervous about the whole thing - I don’t feel I have enough knowledge yet! I’m only part way through my second year. I’m not making excuses :). I’m going to apply again next year for the end of my third year internship. It was nice to learn that there were only about five second year students who got as far as I did, which makes me feel good!

I had a pretty good weekend, on Friday Rob and I had Subway for dinner - OMG, I hadn’t had Subway in aaages, but now I’m totally addicted again. HINT: Get it with parmesean cheese sprinkled on!! My friend Natalia asked for it (when I had it again for lunch on Saturday), I didn’t know it was an option!!
Rob played his first rugby game for the season on Saturday. They lost sadly, but they can only improve!
I had been out that morning and bought myself some pink gumboots, so I didn’t get muddy - sadly there was no mud to test them in. I still wore them anyway ;).

Yesterday Rob and I did some shopping. We got his cellphone for his birthday prezzie (this Friday), he’s already using it. LOL. I’ve got a few other ideas for prezzies, so he’ll have a suprise!
He bought me some V8 juice with wheatgrass and green tea - I always buy juice from juice bars, so this was a lot cheaper. It’s delicious! It’s my new morning drink, trying to cut down the coffee.

Why do I agree to this stuff?!
13.04.07

On Easter Monday Rob suggested we go for a ferry ride. I was thrilled as I love boats and hadn’t been on a ferry in a while. It was a gorgeous day, warm, bright blue sky and only a few clouds. Then he suggested we go over to Mt Rangitoto and take lunch. This sounded great to me. Then he suggested we climb Mt Rangitoto, I said ‘why not’. I hadn’t climbed Mt Rangitoto in about six years. OH MAN. Now I remember why I don’t do it on a regular basis. The climb up was feckin’ painful. The heat, the sore legs, the exhaustion. I realised the true measure of my unfitness. BIG.

We reached the top after just over an hour, I was so relieved. The view from the top was stunning, definitely worth the pain.
Going down was easy, only took us half the time. We were both tired by the end, but happy we did it.

We both agree it doesn’t need to be done again for awhile.

Made it to the short list!
04.04.07

I’ve made it to the short list for an Internship at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, one of the big five Chartered Accounting firms in New Zealand. I’m off for an interview on Tuesday morning at 10.30am.

What do I wear?
What do I ask?
What do I say?

Ahhh stressful!

Wish me luck!
