Buffet with a twist

I ended up working all of Saturday, so not fun. 8am-4.30pm. But it made me some good money, so that’s got to be a bonus.
I didn’t see or hear from Rob all day. He was out playing rugby or soccer, I didn’t know which. He didn’t know which one he was going to play in the morning. Turns out he didn’t play either. He’s very pissed at that.

I was driving home from work just before 5pm when I got a phone call from Rob on my mobile asking me what I wanted to do for dinner. I just assumed ‘which takeaway should we buy tonight?’. But he wanted to go out for dinner. Woohoo! I love dinners out. Doesn’t everyone?

We had been planning to go to a place called Ghengis Khan the week before, but I wasn’t feeling good, so we skipped it. We decided we’d try it out. At first we thought it was a bit pricey. But when we got there……. whole different story!
It’s Mongolian BBQ, as Rob put it, “we’re having our first Mongolian BBQ experience together”.
What happens? It’s buffet style with a twist. You fill up a bowl with rice or noodles, the meat you want (beef, chicken, seafood, pork), the vegetables you want and any sauces and flavoured oils you want.
Then you give it to the chefs standing around a huge round hot plate and they cook it for you infront of you!
So you’re completely making your own meal and you can go back as many times as you want! Which makes it a great deal for the money.
Also included in the price is dessert; pancakes and ice cream. By that stage you are so full.
We will definitely go again! :)
