Since Christmas we have had three people leave work and seven (one has left since, well not left, more got rid of) new people start. I have no problem with new people, they do great things for a company and make it lively and new. New people are great. The bit I don’t like is the constant questions. I have had to train four out of those seven people in how to prepare financial statements. WHAT?! I know, they’re all more qualified than me.
It doesn’t bother me too much, just the fact that my work starts to lagg behind and I end accomplishing very little in a day.
I used to think I wanted to be a teacher… hmm maybe not!

I was doing well today churning accounts out like a mincing machine, when I get asked by my boss to go through a set of accounts with the new lady who started today. AHH DAMNIT!

So I helped her for three and a half hours, damn good on my part.

Then when I sat back down at my desk I noticed I had her uncomfortable chair. And she was sitting in my nice three year old bum groove. So I went over to ask her if we could switch our chairs. I felt a bit mean, but naah, stuff it, I can’t sit on an uncomfortable chair, even if I am only a part timer and she’s here 40 hours a week.

I’m just happy I am part time, can’t get asked questions when I’m not there!

Whoever came up with the idea for PayPerPost is marvellous! The site benefits different people; companies wanting to get their names out in the public and little ol’ me trying to make some extra cash to get me through University. Ads on blogs is a great way to make some extra money for the extra things I need in life.
I have been a member now since mid-April, so about a month, I still find new and different sites to write about each day! I also love that I’m finding these sites I never knew about, that has to be a big plus.
A lot of friends online are also member’s which is cool, I check out their blogs to see what offers they have taken. I read their blogs and think.. “ahhh! I should have written about that one, that’s a great site!”.
Now all I need to do is up the ratings on my site so I can get into the bigger dollar value opportunities!

After being ‘nana’s’ for the last few weekends, mainly due to me having an assignment due every Monday for the last month, Rob and I decided we’d go out and see some friends and be social.
So last night off we headed to Nat and Dylan’s for a few drinks and some socialness. While watching Bite Club on TV, where the shark won, another couple (Brandon and Jess) turned up and then it was suggested that we go ten pin bowling.
We played girls vs boys on two lanes. I won overall, woohoo with 115, Rob came second with 100. He can usually beat me, but I think my winning luck was from being sober and having the pretty, pink ball. Although the boys scores were higher, so they beat us team-wise.
After our game we headed next door to play some pool, which I suck at. By 2am, after two hours of pool, I was starting to feel tired so we headed home.
Now, this morning, Rob is off playing golf and I really should be finishing my LAST assignment for this semester - YAY!

At the moment interest rates on mortgages and secured loans seem to be increasing weekly. It makes it very hard for people wanting to get into the housing market. I deal with this stuff regularly because as you may be aware, I’m an accountant.
I’m hoping the interest rates start dropping again some time soon, because Rob and I would like to buy a house eventually but won’t be able to afford one at this rate!
Obtaining a loan can be tedious, but it’s only for the best, you can understand the banks’ point of view and it’s nice to know they’re so secure!
We have clients at work who remortgage every year to a different bank to achieve a better interest rate. But when you look at the discharge fees they have to pay it doesn’t seem worth it. I think once you’re offered a good, low interest rate, you’re best to fix it for 25 years!

On Friday night Rob and I rented a movie called Running Scared. DON’T RENT IT! It’s fricken’ disturbing. When you read about it it doesn’t seem that bad, I’m not scared of action, mob type movies. But this one? Geeez.. I will never see that again. At least it has a happy ending, I guess.

Yesterday morning I went to work, I decided I’d need more money come pay day, not that that’s unusual!
In the afternoon I went to Zarrin’s baby shower,my first baby shower ever. A friend of hers organised it, with food and games. It was really lovely. We played name the baby food, a game with balloons and sticking them under your top, a game where you had to think of songs with the word baby in the lyrics and a few more. At the end of the afternoon she opened her gifts, lots of cute baby things! She’s having a girl, due June 24th, four days after my birthday - so I’m hoping she’s early!
On Saturday night Rob and I booked Talladega Nights on box office (sky TV). We’ve seen it before, but it’s always a laugh.

Today we went to Sylvia Park for lunch and to check out the new additions to the mall. It looks good, the movie theatre’s look flash!
We stopped by a shop called Sweet, they sell hard boiled lollies. Yummm. I bought a pack of Passionfruit and a pack of Raspberry flavoured lollies. They’re very addictive!
Not a lot happening tonight, Mum can’t be bothered to cook, so we’re having fish and chips for dinner. Not so healthy, but who can be bothered on a Sunday?

I am booked in for a massage on Tuesday afternoon with a voucher my Dad gave me for Christmas, looking forward to that!

I’m going to book in to get my hair cut and my highlights re-done after pay day next, next Tuesday. I found out that a lady I work with, her daughter is a hairdresser and work from home so she’s reasonable with the pricing. She’s also been a hairdresser for about 25 years so I’m sure she’s going to be good. I really need to get it done now, I hate it everytime I look at it.
