Originally when I was going to post I thought I had nothing to say, just that I’m going to work everyday and attending my summer school lectures three times a week. But when I think about it, quite a lot has happened!

*I have been offered a job at Harvey Norman on weekends only, from 11-2pm taking photos of children sitting on Santa’s lap. I have agreed to do the job, as it’s only a few hours on my weekend and will give me some extra cash! Plus it sounds fun! I just found out I’m being paid $14 an hour and comission on any photos bought! Awesome!
*My car’s brake pads are screwed and grind when I brake, which is obviously not good. So it’s going to cost me $180 to fix it. So now I’m officially and completely poor. So poor I want to cry :( I should be buying Christmas prezzies!! The problem is that I have been poor and so now I’m trying to catch up! Rob has now offered forward his credit card for me to use, so I’ll make it to next pay without having serious issues. Of course I’ll still be in debt to him, but I’ll be able to pay him back easily enough.
*Tonight Rob is off to his work-do, so I’m going to relax at home and watch some girlie movie that he would refuse to watch.
*My Christmas work-do is this Saturday at my boss’s house. She’s cooking a BBQ, turkey, ham and all the sides. Should be a fun night! I’m bringing my friend Natalie, because both our men are off to a cricket function, so she’s taking Rob’s spot.

I was sure I had lots of topics to discuss! But I think I’m at the end of them now. Work is super crazy, so I will post my (late) Thursday Thirteen and get back to it!

Sex-on-legs!

November 25th, 2007

Wow, Justin’s concert was amazing last night!! Man can he move, sing and play! Very talented and not so bad on the eye.. who am I kidding? He’s so hot! His dance moves were amazing too!! Here’s some hot concert pics of him, not taken by me, but they’re from the Future, Love, Sex, Sound tour he’s done around Europe and NZ.

We were right up by the stage, so when he walked out to the side on the huge speakers you could almost throw your paper cup of water at him and hit him.

I enjoyed his dance moves, damn awesome! He can move!

He’s bringing sexy back!

And I’m going to see him do it!! Yes!! I am going to Justin Timberlake’s concert here in New Zealand this Saturday night! I am so so so excited!!
I only bought the tickets last night after seeing the ad on TV and saying to Rob; “I would have liked to have gone to his concert, I just don’t have any money.”
Then he offered to lend me the money! So woosh… I was on the internet checking out ticket places to see if there were any left. Yes! Then I called my sister, Allie, to see if she wanted to go too! Yes! Her boyfriend also wants to come, so I search for three tickets. Yes!! Yay! I printed the tickets off this morning at work and we’re ready to go.
I’m annoyed you can’t take a camera in, but I understand why.

Also, Rob bought me the latest Matchbox 20 album as a suprise. He’s such a sweetie! My damn car CD player is broken though and it doesn’t play CD’s. Not cool.

At first I thought I was going to struggle to find 13 guilty pleasures of mine, but no, it was quite easy!

Enroled for 2008!

November 21st, 2007

I have just finished filling in the enrolment form for the last year* of my Bachelor of Accountancy!! Woohoo! Very exciting. Here’s how it’s looking:

Management Accounting
Marketing for Non-Marketers
Advanced Financial Accounting
Entrepreneurship and Small Business**
Advanced Taxation
Advanced Auditing
Integrative Accounting
Professional and E-Business Writing***

*Unfortunately I have an Advanced Management Accounting paper I will need to do first semester in 2009, because I failed one it through my papers out by one. So annoyed at myself for that!
**Paper I got to pick. The rest are set for me. Well with the Marketing for Non-Marketers and Professional and E-Business Writing papers, I got to pick out of two marketing and two communications papers. These were my choices.
***Doesn’t have an exam.

Fun had by all.

I am totally poor, I haven’t had a decent pay in about a month! Because I had exams I only worked 10 hours the last two weeks and got paid peanuts! I don’t get paid until next Tuesday and all I have is $20. Yes, feel very bad for me!

I had a great weekend though, and I was lucky because I spent about $30 on petrol and $9 on three drinks (so cheap!) at the Uni bar on Friday. I received my certificate and a letter for my work as a student rep, I only did it again because I lost my certificate from last year!
After drinking at the Uni Christmas party we headed off to try out the new bars in Albany, they are awesome! All brand new and they were so busy!
I had been there the previous Monday for the celebration drink after our last exam and it was pretty relaxed, but on Friday it was packed! The new Takapuna.
If you’re not from New Zealand you will have no bloody idea I am going on about.

On Saturday I went to cricket with Rob, as usual. It was the best game I’ve been to in ages!! Well the teams scores weren’t so hot, but the end of the game had us biting our nails. The last two batsmen were in (who are bowlers and usually can’t bat), they needed 20 or so runs from the same amount of overs. Easy right? Well yes, but if one of them got out they’d lose the game! It was great. And yes, they won.

Saturday night was absolutely amazing!! We attended Toni’s 21st party at her beautiful house in Milford. She had waiters, ice sculptures, champagne and 95% alcohol based punch! It was a nautical/pirate/beach theme and we all enjoyed ourselves! Lots of laughs and fun. It was a party, so the usual stuff happened, so I will post photo’s instead of talking about every little detail.

There’s another 50 odd photos here, including ones of the boys taking the dinghy out on the lake.

What feels like weeks, even months of stress and non-stop study has now come to an end. Thank God! I am now officially on holidays, for a week! Yes, I’m doing a paper through Summer School, so will be back at Uni next week. It’s not as bad as it sounds… it’s only six hours a week, not full time like before. But six hours still feels like too much!

But anyway, exams are over, that last week flew by and my last exam, Law, was not my favourite. I even enjoyed the Tax exam more!!

So Monday evening, after our last exam, some friends and I headed off to a new bar in Albany for a few drinks and a relax, we deserved it! This year I have studied more than I ever have in my whole life. It was great to have a few drinks and sit and laugh. So exams are over and now it’s time to start having some fun!

A couple of things have happened since my last blog, because I’ve been studying my ass off; my younger sister has gone flatting and we’re selling our house and moving, again!

My younger sister, Allie, has gone flatting with her boyfriend, Graham, I am so jealous! Her house is so cute and in great condition, it’s like brand new! It would be fun to be flatting, but sadly I’m still at University, so can’t afford it!

And yes, my mum is selling our house that we’ve been in for a year. haha. She wouldn’t if she didn’t have to. But the interest rates are getting higher and she’s finding it too expensive. Plus, now Allie has moved out we don’t need a four bedroom house. Rob and I will be moving out in a year or so, so she doesn’t want a big house at huge expense, which makes sense.
Moving house is painful, I don’t know what’s worse; packing and moving or trying to keep the house spotless and tidy for open homes.

Last night Rob and I went, with my work, to a movie that was put on to raise money for Child Cancer. We saw Death at a Funeral, it’s an English comedy, oh my God it was good! It’s a Festival film and doesn’t come out in New Zealand until February 2008, I can’t wait, because I will definitely see it again!
Afterwards they took us out for an impromptu dinner, very delicious. Of course when you know you’re not paying it’s always yum!

Coming up this weekend: on Friday I have a Christmas party at University and will collect my certificate for being a Student rep. Then on Saturday night it’s Toni’s 21st. It’s a nautical/beach/pirate theme. So I must check out some costumes! She’s having it at her house, which is huge, it’ll be a great night and I will be taking my camera!

My poor camera, it hasn’t been out of it’s case in two weeks!! I’m having withdrawal. I better take some photo’s this week!
