I am in love with Roman Shades, I love the fabric ones that fold when open and drop to a flat piece of fabric when down. It makes the room look neat and tidy when closed or open. They’re not too bulky and can be used in a modern or older home.
I love the different fabrics available as well, no more plain beige. You can definitely lift a room with these!
When I finally buy myself a house I will be putting them up in my lounge and bedrooms. They look good in all!

Baking, take two.

Preheat oven to 220*C
Ingredients:
2 c flour
4 tsp baking powder
3/4 c white sugar
pinch of salt
100g melted butter
2 eggs
1 c milk
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
2 bananas, mashed
1/2 c chocolate chips

Mix eggs, milk and vanilla essence.

Melt butter.

Mash bananas.

Mix dry ingredients.

Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients but make sure to not over mix as the muffins will be tough.

Pour batter into greased & lined muffin trays.

Bake 12-15 minutes.

Since we’re experiencing a four-day-weekend this weekend for Easter there is much time for doing things one normally can’t fit in a two-day weekend.

So today was baking day. Unfortunately I don’t have any young, cute, willing children to help me out in the kitchen yet, so today I enlisted the help of my sexy boyfriend who really just wanted to help so he’d score some food at the end.

Firstly, make sure your helper gets a shot of you in your apron while you’re unaware.

Cheese scones

Preheat oven to 180*C.
Ingredients:
3 cups self raising flour
1 cup cheese, grated
1 onion, chopped
2 T butter, soft
2 T parmesan cheese
parsley (Rob wouldn’t let me put any in mine)
water, to mix

Add self raising flour to your food processor. I know it’s random to show you our self raising flour bag, but it’s quite interesting to show food products from different countries.

Grate and add cheese.

Roughly chop onion, the food processor will do the rest.

Add parmesan cheese for extra flavour.

Add soft butter, not melted.

A pinch of salt.

All in together.

Add small amounts of water, slowly.

Until it represents dough.

Flatten out dough.

Cut into squarish shapes and place on baking tray. Top with some extra grated cheese.

Bake approx. 15-20 mins or until risen and brown. Once baked, slap some butter on them while they’re still warm from the oven.

I used to have a flip mobile phone. You know, the ones that bend in half to close? What do you call them anyway? At first I didn’t like it because I was scared the hinges would wear out and it would break. But somehow it managed to last.
When I changed phone networks last year I went for the non-flip version. It’s so not as fun. Not cool at all.

Now I really want a flip mobile again. This one especially:

Isn’t it beautiful? If only I had more disposable income to spend on things like mobile phones. Instead I struggle to fill my damn car with the damn expensive petrol we have at the moment.
And what ever happened to that man that said he could get a car to run off water? Now would be a good time to find him again. We really could use him about now.

Yesterday’s Advanced Financial Accounting turned my brain into lumpy, thick porridge. I’m not going to go into all the details of what we learnt because accounting is dull, right? That’s what everyone says when I say I’m doing an accounting major anyway.
But into the second hour of our lecture my friend Toni and I could not stop laughing, like hysterics, we had to laugh so we didn’t cry.
The bad news is that we have another two hours of that class this afternoon, oh joy!

Uni has definitely gone up a notch this year and I can already see that I need to be doing more study each week.
