Today is Rob’s 24th birthday. So old.. I know!! It’s been a busy day. I nearly baked him a cake, but his mum turned up with one. So I thought rather than make us fat, we’d just have hers. (I will take a photo before we cut it up).
Rob went out to play golf with a group of friends, so I had coffee with my friend Victoria whom I haven’t caught up with in ages.
We’re off to dinner soon at Gengy’s. Will be so yum! So right now I need to get myself spruced up and ready to go!
America’s Cup is a huge sporting event, it is one of the biggest in the yachting world. It’s amazing to think how many people and companies it takes to run such an event. One company, Marine Travelift, supply a lot of boating equipment including the Boat Lift System to the America’s Cup organisation to use while the event is on. It was most recently used in Spain.
Now surely if this marine equipment is suitable for America’s Cup racers, it’s got to be good quality, value and perfect for anyone in need of marine equipment.
Rob played rugby yesterday. So today he’s looking a bit bruised. He had a bit of black & blueness around his right eye last night. But thankfully he didn’t end up with a black eye this morning, much to his disappointment.

He’s the one in the middle with the black head gear. He plays prop. Fattest Most built on the team.
One issue arising from us all being so reliant on computers in the workplace is the hassle that comes up when the system goes down. I know from my own experience at work that if our computers go down we’re in a stale-mate. We can’t do anything without our computer system up and running. We therefore have to call our IT guy and hope like hell he can come sort it out for us.
Uplogix allows companies to have Network Management teams that can see what’s happening in their system and fix it from an off-site location. It allows the IT people to have real-time management and monitoring.
Definitely something my company needs to look into!
