red

Yes sorry, another nature macro shot. They just seem to be the best. Plus this one red leaf in a yellow-leaved tree looked awesome.

Hey Bronnie ! I am loving your monday macros. The trees in New Zealand at the moment are beautiful in their lavishing yellows and reds. Where in New Zealand are you? Do you by any chance live in the south island? I came across your blog, I then wanted to leave a comment… As there, for some reason, aren’t that many New Zealand based blogs! Nice to check out the neighborhood ha ha ha!

Thank you for your lovely comment.
Sadly I am not in the South Island, I live in Auckland, which I see you just visited!
There aren’t many NZ blogs, I have no idea why, maybe because of our small population! hehe

Oh Purdy. One of the only reasons I like Fall - the pretty colors, before they turn all brown, crusty, and fall off the trees, and become a traffic hazard. lol.

I think macro photography is often nature related, because of all the tiny details that so few people really stop to look at.

Things like the veins of a leaf for example. =) I loved this shot. Did you take pictures of the whole tree as well? I think the contrast between the yellow and red would have been striking on a larger scale, too.

Sadly, nothing that spectacular is on show in Melbourne right now. I hope the leaves start turning soon.

Yes I guess nature is the main topic of macro photography… lucky there’s lots of it to capture!!
Sadly I didn’t get a good photo showing the red leaf amongst the yellow. I took this one but it doesn’t show the red, just the yellowness.
I can’t wait to take some frost shots!

Nice picture. It’s cool how you can see all the little white veins in the leaf.
