I had mentioned to a few people, myself included, that I needed an alcohol-detox-week. Or maybe two weeks? I started Tuesday July 1st, and it came to an abrupt end on Friday the 4th. I blame Friday night work drinks. Everyone’s having a wine, a chat and a wind down. How can one resist that?
I don’t have a problem with alcohol at all. I just enjoy a glass of wine when socialising. Prior to this bout of socialness, I had a glass of wine maybe one or twice a month. The reason for my detox was just a health thing. I don’t have health issues. I was just doing it purely for myself.
But tonight I’m out with the girls for dinner and some fun. So there will definitely be wine around. I’ll just try the detox again next week.

Kudos to you for even being able to drink wine! I can’t stand that stuff. I’ll take my strawberry daiquiris, pina coladas, and appletinis any day over wine. lol

I find that when I think about detoxing, I tend to drink more. It has the reverse effect on me. Start afresh this week and let us know how you go!
