Every weekend I tell myself I’m going to get on top of my assignments and Uni work… and then every weekend I get to Sunday evening and realise I have done nothing. Two days a week to fit in a social life and assignments and work is just really unfair.
Thankfully my assignments aren’t due until next Monday and Tuesday so I’m not feeling the pressure yet.

But anyways, last night I went over to my friend Jo’s, and our friend Sarina came and we had cocktails. Oh they were good cocktails. Jo’s fiance made them for us. He wasn’t sure what was in them all, but they were so damn good! Jo also cooked us a lovely lamb rogan josh and a chicken korma. Unfortunately I’m not eating chicken at the moment, so just had the lamb - delish!
After a couple of cocktails we played Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly & Scrabble. Oh God what a laugh! Learnt a couple of things though, such as; France and Belgium being the two closest countries to England, excluding the UK. Crazy! I knew it was France, but Belgium? I must google map that. And that “sa” is a word. Don’t ask me what it means… I have completely forgotten!
I got home at 3am, so am feeling a tad tired this morning.
My mum came into my room at 9.30am this morning, she looks at me in bed and asks; “Are you hungover?”. Lol. “No, mum! Just tired.”
I was just on the phone to my sister and told her this, she laughed at me, maybe it’s really detox time?
Ok.. enough wasting time!! It’s assignment time.. woo.. excited!
I went into my boss’s office to show her a letter I had written to a client. You know, just to get confirmation that what I had written made sense, was professional and was clear enough for the client to understand.
She said all was fine and I was leaving her office to walk back to my desk I heard something muffled come from her: “…small… good, Bron”. Yeah, I didn’t catch it all.
So I replied with: “Yes, my letter writing has improved immensely, short and to the point”.
“No”, she replies. “I meant your behind, you’re shrinking away.”

Last night I watched Jamie’s Fowl Dinners. Because I love Jamie Oliver, he’s gorgeous, I sat through the first hour, but geeez that was enough.
I totally understand what he’s doing and agree with him. It was a hard slap in the face and something we all need to think about. I will definitely be double checking my eggs are free range now and will never let another chicken sausage pass my lips. Do you know what is in a chicken sausage? I knew it wouldn’t be the best bits of a chicken… but oh god, it’s far worse than you can imagine.
Needless to say I wont be eating any chicken in the next few weeks.

There are so many things I could have injured myself on today; a paper cut at work, fall on my ass while out running, pull a muscle while using my swiss ball, have a car accident while driving to work, cut myself while cutting beef, or a hundred other things.
But no, I slit my finger open while using a garlic crusher. I could have showed you a photo of the actual cut, but eww the blood and cut is yuck. Imagine a cut running from the top of my finger tip to half way down the plaster (approx. 2cms).
Either that was some bloody tough garlic, or the crusher had finally worn out.

Equals a fantastic night out.
Unfortunately it was raining, which does not make for a good night in town. But we had a great time. Girls nights out are always the best.
And when a girlfriend said to me; “you ready for bed, Bron?“, before I could reply one of the booth-guys looked at me and said; “I’ll join you“. *ahem* Just made my week. Hah.
But no, I didn’t let him join me. We had more dancing to do!!
As the title says that last 48 hours have been absolutely nuts for me. I wont go into detail, because it will cut into my relax time, but the 48 hours has included:
The assignment was due today, so we had to finish it no matter how long it took us. Hence the early morning finish.
Unfortunately I had a lecture this morning at 9am, so only ended up with five hours sleep. Then two more hours of lectures this afternoon.
But lectures are now over for the day, I’ve handed in the painful auditing assignment and it’s now officially Uni holidays. Yay!
Well technically I will be working full time and starting on more assignments so it wont be much of a holiday.

But for tonight I am in full relax mode. Have got myself some diet coke, sushi and Sweeney Todd. I’m going to relax before the excitement of the weekend begins.
A comment that a friend said to me last night that I just love. And this Sunday it just happens to be true.
Our University holidays start next week, thank god! We’re all hanging out for a break. I seem to be doing some sort of assignment every single day.
It just so happens that we, a group of (8) friends from Uni, have planned a big day this Sunday, full of fun and no responsibility. Our events include the Erotica expo (for a laugh), our friend Jacques is doing his jump off the Sky Tower - so we’re all going to go cheer him on & I’ll attempt to take a couple of photos during his 11 second free-fall, and of course drinks to celebrate the holidays.
As well as our Sunday events, I am meeting up with a girlfriend, Toni (pictured in previous post), for a couple of cocktails and some girly chat on Saturday night.
My sister is also having a cocktail party that night with some of her friends for her birthday, so I will stop in and see them first.
But really, I should get back to my auditing assignment as I am meeting a friend tonight to go over it and I don’t think he’ll be impressed if I haven’t done anything!!
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
