Friday 5 & French champagne

This Friday started off to a great start. Absolutely no rain. Which is very unusual considering we’ve had constant downpours for days. I even went out and bought myself a selfish (read: clear umbrella that’s kind of rounded and comes down past your shoulders - unshareable, hence selfish) umbrella, but since purchasing my special umbrella it hasn’t rained once!!

My mum’s friend has come to visit this weekend. He turned up with some alcohol, after I had already decided this would be an alcohol-free weekend. Until he showed me the French champagne. I don’t think I’ve ever had real champagne before, maybe once. But normally it’s “sparkly wine” not champagne. But OMG this champagne is delicious! So very easy to drink. I definitely know I’ll be having the real stuff at my wedding (if I can afford it!!!).

I have some news about some photos of mine, but I will post that at a later date

To end… my Friday five: Things you may not know about me;

1. Apples give me goosebumps: Yes, just like the sensation some people get of finger nails being scraped down a chalkboard. Whenever anyone or myself bites into an apple my skin freezes over and I tingle and get goosebumps. Even in the middle of summer. Safe to say I stay away from apples in winter (even though that’s when they’re in season).

2. I can’t multiply or divide in my head: I’m nearly finished my accounting degree yet I can’t multiply or divide in my head. For example; 56 x 43. That’d take me at least 15 minutes to work it out. Luckily someone invented calculators which is how I am successfully an accountant.

3. Speeding tickets: I’m 24 and have received two already. Once by a camera and once pulled over by a cop. So not proud of these. My mum has only received one in her whole life and my dad has never received one!

4. Sensitive skin: I’m allergic to anything Elizabeth Arden. The stuff makes my skin tingle like it’s burning and I even come out in a rash when I use Elizabeth Arden perfume. I really like a new perfume they’ve put out called Juicy Couture - it smells amazing - but sadly it made me come out in a rash after I sprayed on free testers at the store.

5. Help the world: One day I want to do my bit for those who need it in the world. I don’t know exactly what, but something. I’m thinking something along the lines of volunteering in a refugee camp, volunteering as a teacher for children in a very poor country, donating money to a child or adopting a child or two. People who know me well know I want 4 to 5 children. Well the amount can change regularly, but I generally want a big family. But of course I have never had a child before so I don’t even know if I could cope through 4 or 5 pregnancies. So I think I would end up having 3 children and adopting 2. Anything to help children.
